Haven Cottage Breakfast

Whether you're getting over the night before or heading out onto the fells a hearty breakfast should be an essential part of your stay with us.

Served between 8.15 and 9.15 in our dining room and guest lounge with plenty of choice including fruit, yoghurt, cereals, the  obligatory full English (or our vegetarian take on the same), homemade toast baked on the premises, tea, coffee, juice etc etc etc.

Everything is freshly cooked to order using only the best quality, locally sourced, ingredients wherever possible.

The provenance of the food we put onto your plate is important to us and our currently preferred suppliers include:

Bannerigg Farm, Windermere for their Free Range eggs
Town End Dairy, Windermere for their milk
Freddie Garside Butchers, Ambleside for their wonderful bacon, sausages and black pudding
Carrs Flour of Wigton which we use in the making of our homemade bread
Granny Smiths in Ambleside for much of our breakfast fruit & veg
Farrer's of Kendal for our Tea
Red Bank Coffee, freshly roasted in the Lake District
